m2r Education are proud to support this UK FE provider with their new project in Nigeria. They require a number of highly experienced Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Light Vehicle) Trainers to deliver a 12 week programme between August and October 2018 on behalf of a high profile NGO.

They are running a Mechanic/ Mechatronics Training Course in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Light Vehicle) IMI – Level 3 with the aim of providing the knowledge, understanding and practical skills for young Nigerians to start a career as a mechanic/ technician in the motor vehicle service and repair industry. 

Course Content

  • Diagnose and rectify light vehicle engine and component faults
  • Diagnose and rectify light vehicle chassis system faults
  • Diagnose and rectify auxiliary equipment electrical faults
  • Diagnose and rectify light vehicle transmission and driveline system faults
  • Wheel Alignment Fundamentals
  • Welding/ Fabrication
  • Functional skills
  • Work experience

Experience / Qualifications Needed:

  • Qualified motor vehicle technician with training experience (OJT / classroom)
  • Relevant qualifications, ideally some training / assessor qualifications also
  • UK national
  • Able to train to Level 3 NVQ
